As blacks, society has programmed our minds in believing that straight long hair (like Caucasian hair) is the acceptable beauty when it comes to hair.
The general notion is that most black women are not really proud of showing their natural hair in public because of what people may say, because they may be discriminated against at work/school, or simply because it is difficult to maintain.
Why Should We Care About This Magazine?
Afro Hair Magazine aims to change that narrative and the perception that afro hair is not beautiful, it is too hard to maintain, or not long enough to be worn as it is.
The purpose of this magazine is to help black mixed-raced women embrace, celebrate & showcase the beauty of the black woman's hair just the way God created her #FearfullyAndWonderfullyMade
